Order #FSS0565105
Hello, Few days ago I’ve bought your add-on Fleet Traffic: US Navy to use on Prepar3D v4.1, and now I’m hoping in a bit of understanding since I’m new of simulators world and I have alot of doubts.
I just resolved the problem who denied me to see the ships, taking few suggestions from this support forum.
Now my problem is this: I’ve found a number of scenarios “not working” on my P3D for different reasons:
1. When I load few saved scenarios, those crash immediately (if pause is deactivated, or when I turn it off) for object collision. I’ve seen P3D has this option to deactivate object collision in “Option” subsection “Realism”. I’m not sure if that is the “more appropriated” solution. Some scenarios who crash on my P3D for object collision are: a. USS Reagan CVN76 SE of Iwakuni, Japan b. USS Preble DDG88 S of Pusan, Korea c. USS Truxton DDG103 off coast of Sweden d. USS MountWhitney LCC20 off coast of Finland
2. In at least one case (USS Port Royale CG73 W of Oahu HI) I haven’t found the ship under me. This despite I’ve already solved the general problem for all the fleet to see the ships.

Please tell me what steps you took to resolve the issue you had before, that was preventing you from seeing the ships (thank you for checking the forums).
I do have 'ignore crashes' set in my Realism Options settings. I did not list that as a recommendation in the user guide, or quick start guide, but perhaps I should add it in there. Does this resolve the problem?
Also, regarding the saved flight starting from CG-73 near Hawaii, would you fly that again and give me the exact local time and date (do not unpause it)... I'll check to see that it matches what I have.

Hello, main step to solve the problem to don't see the ships was that to install the add-on in the root folder of Prepar3D. Initially, in the setup phase, I didn't browse the folders to find the correct one.
I can confirm that have selected "ignore crashes and damage" in P3D options menu resolve the problems of scenarios crashing for objects collision. Also I can keep selected "detect crashes and damage", selecting "vehicle stress cause damage" and unselecting "allow collision with other vehicles".
Date and local time of CG-73 near Hawaii are 01/04/2017, 11:11:55.

Great, so really our biggest issue at this point is that there are some saved flights/scenarios in which you are not starting on the ship. Normally, if somebody encounters this problem, they experience the problem for ALL saved flights/scenarios and not just a few of them. Are there other flights/scenarios that are doing this also?

Yep, there are only some in wich I'm not starting on the ship. And, for the truth, the only one I've found for the moment is the USS Port Royale CG73 W of Oahu, Hawaii. As you say it's weird since I'm not experiencing the problem for all saved flights/scenarios. For a moment, considering the date, I thought it was correlated to the April Fish day.. Hehe. Well at the end I mostly wrote on this forum to have few clarifications about the product. As last istance I would ask an hand to find *.flt files to modify (Chapter 5). I've found, for your product, files with extension *.fxml and *.wx. I would know the difference between flt/fxml/wx/fssave and what is that to modify. If you can help also in this, thanks

Yes, in P3D there are no .flt files, so you need to modify the FXML file instead.
I should make this notation in the user's guide. Thank you.

I also noted the April Fools Day correlation, but I do not believe that is our issue here : )
Will test more.
