I'm just curious what's next for Haze Gray Studios after the USN project.
May I suggest maybe doing the Ferries of Puget Sound? I think it'd sell very well and replace the outdated ferry models with some of the newer ships Washington State Ferries is coming up with.
Of course there's also doing another Navy like the Chinese or the British or the French or the Russian ;-).

I will stick with the Navy space, Joe. Probably will look at doing Australia & NZ, or maybe one of the European nations. I could do UK, it is like the US in that most of the big ships are out there but nobody has gone to the trouble to repaint them all and place them. France has already been done to a large extent, you just have to gather it all up. I have also considered Russia and China but those are big projects with a lot of freeware already available. We'll see.
We will also move into the airport space as well. I hope to carry on what Henry Street has done, covering other NAS and MCAS bases, and from there, we'll do a few USAF bases and Army airfields. NAS North Island is a big one that I want to finish, and so are NAS Mayport and NS Norfolk. Might even do NAS WI at some point. Once upon a time I'd started in on McChord/Fort Lewis, and I plan to circle back to that.
As for the ferries of Puget Sound there is a guy named Larry Robinson that sorta specializes in these -- WA state and BC ferries. Good stuff, check him out.

Something to think about…many Navies purchase their units from other countries. i.e. the German built Type 409 SS is in several inventories. Others purchase units second hand - mostly from the US and UK and there are some old / new Soviet/Russian units out there in other Navies. I haven't looked at it recently but I'm pretty are that the Turkish Navy is full of old US units. Once a unit is built - an OHP FFG for example - additional paint jobs could "fit them in" to other nation's navies. The "inventory" would need to be built up first…so a "down the road" possibility. Just a thought.

I'd love to see NS Norfolk and this place called Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue in the Carolinas.

Please start with improvements to this product. As for a lot of ships it is an improvement, for the carriers, I had to implement the replacement with the Nimitz fleet from Lamont Clark. Yours have a way to go. Also, The wake with just using FSX effects needs improvement.

The carriers you refer to were created by Javier Fernandez, and those are really excellent ships.
There are several ways that we might go with the carriers, but we do have plans for new versions and new features.

The Russian ships that are out there as Freeware are woefully out of date - essentially Soviet stuff. Regardless the Russia Navy has a couple of new combatant classes and few surviving platform classes that have been altered, modernized, modified, etc. The UDALOY II DDG-class is a case in point. Would it be possible to model a half-dozen combatant classes (if that many) skip the subs (most of the SSNs look pretty much the same) and add an AGI? It definitely would not be near the scale of USN Fleet Traffic. The PLAN is another story. Even as the PACFLT N2 I had trouble keeping all their new units straight. Ripcord would need to move to China.

The question here with PLAN and Russian Navy fleets is do you really want a full AI traffic package that shows them coming and going from their real world home ports and making port visits around the world? Or do you just want a few ships you can load up in your VRS TP manager and do some target practice? Because if you just want some adversary ships, there are plenty already out there, for free.
I am just not really sure there are that many people that want to have 'cool and authentic scenery' to admire while flying over Murmansk and Vladivostok. And the same goes for PLAN in China. And of course, the intel is sketchy as to what units are really based where.
Maybe. Not saying no, but it would cost a lot and break even would be a real challenge.

And of course, the intel is sketchy as to what units are really based where. What??!! You slay me! I would offer offer that the UNCLASSIFIED intel is sketchy…when I as active duty I knew where everybody was based…most of the time. Seriously, good points-I hadn’t looked at it from that point of view. Current and former 1830s would love a PLAN and/or RFN pack…but I doubt we present a commercially viable demographic. Still, it has sparked an idea…something like a “Fleet Week” package. A couple of units from several blue-water and regional navies head off to a port-visit for a week - probably tie it into a holiday… 4th July in New York and San Francisco, Bastille Day in Marseille, France, Chinese New Year in Hong Kong, Earth Day in Singapore (OK, I made that one up)…you get the idea. …maybe add in a RIMPAC exercise in the Hawaiian OPAREAS (probably without the alien invasion from BATTLESHIP, the movie)… that’s two port visits to Pearl Harbor (before and after the at sea exercise), some exercise running around and a big formation for the group photo. …just a thought.

…you are going to add the alien attack into a RIPAC package…I knew it!

I have a Payware PLAN carrier courtesy of Bear Studios' J-11 package and some freeware PLAN warships. Also needing to be target practice: A North Korean mobile ICBM and a Scud launcher... I can't find them as FSX/P3D freeware. Just saying.

Yours have a way to go. Also, The wake with just using FSX effects needs improvement. I think the correct answer came from this gentleman here. People have paid for this package and we will continue to improve it. However, we do need to remember what we are, and what this package is. This is an AI traffic package, which means performance is the key. You would not hold up the 777 included in the MyTraffic 6 package by Burkhard, and compare that to the 777 from PMDG. We could build the Sistine Chapel of all aircraft carriers, but then two things happen (a) it doesn't cost $19 anymore and (b) it doesn't perform as it should. We do have plans for the carriers, but I wont reveal them yet until we get a little closer.
